Join us for the 2nd Annual Kiva New York Lending Team Wine Tasting Fundraiser. 

Help us continue  Kiva.org's success by attending this year's New York wine tasting. All money raised will go to always continue support borrowers on Kiva, whose mission is to alleviate poverty through the power of lending.

Last year this event helped start off our New York Team Fund, a non-withdrawable account on Kiva.org that has supported over 400 business owners to date. This year we will continue to do that and give 10% of the funds to Kiva.

$40 gets you tasting from 6 different wines from South Africa and Chile, some countries that are currently supported by Kiva.org. All the wines are offered at BottleRocket, heralded by many as the friendliest and most knowledgeable wine store in the city.  In additon, some appetizers will be served to go along with the wines.

Everyone interested in a fun night with other worldly and philanthropically-minded individuals should attend. Presentation of wines begins at 6:15pm with the Kiva New York Team introducing itself, Gabe Francis, an ex-Kiva Fellow, explaining the process of Kiva briefly for those unfamiliar with it, before we start the presentation and tasting of the wines. The event will wrap up around 8pm.

In addition, all attendees will be entered to win a signed copy of The Blue Sweater, by Jacqueline Novogratz, the founder of The Acumen Fund. 2 copies will be awarded.
